SpendSnap ("the App") is designed to work locally on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

SpendSnap does not collect personal information from you on our servers.

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Expense entries you create (amount, category, timestamp)
• App preferences (such as selected currency and selected time window)

2. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used only to provide core app features:

• Logging expenses
• Showing ledger/history and totals
• Saving your settings

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Data is stored locally using on-device storage (shared_preferences).
• Data remains on your device until you delete it in the App (for example, using "Clear Data") or uninstall the App.

4. Data Sharing

SpendSnap does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. SpendSnap does not send your expense data to external servers.

5. Internet and Analytics

• SpendSnap does not require an account.
• SpendSnap does not use cloud sync in the current release.
• SpendSnap does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the current release.

6. Children’s Privacy

SpendSnap is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

Because data is stored locally on your device, security also depends on your device protections (passcode, encryption, OS security settings). No method of storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Choices

You can:

• Delete individual entries from the ledger
• Clear all app data from Settings
• Uninstall the App to remove local data

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated in future releases. Updates will be reflected by a new “Effective Date.”
